ESA Technical Services LLC is a Dubai-based technical services company, established in 2006, specialising in GRP works, waterproofing, insulation and installation across the UAE. GRP pipe work is where we started, and it remains at the core of what we do.
GRP (glass reinforced plastic) pipe is made from glass-fibre reinforcement in a thermosetting resin. It doesn't rust, it resists most chemicals, and its smooth bore keeps friction losses low for decades. That's why GRP is widely used in the UAE for potable water, irrigation, sewage, storm drainage, seawater intake and cooling water, and in chemical and process plants.
GRP pipelines are only as good as their installation and their joints. Our four pipe services cover the whole life of a GRP line, from new installation to lamination and repair, so one accountable specialist looks after your network.

GRP Pipe Services: common questions
What types of GRP pipes do you work on?
We work on filament-wound and centrifugally cast GRP pipes and fittings used for potable water, sewage, drainage, irrigation, cooling and chemical lines, across a wide range of diameters and pressure classes. Jointing methods include bell & spigot, flanged and laminated (butt & wrap).
Can you repair a GRP pipe without replacing it?
In most cases, yes. Leaks, cracks and damaged joints can be repaired by grinding back and re-laminating over the defect, then re-testing. Replacement of a section is only needed when damage is extensive or the pipe has deformed.
Do you pressure test GRP pipelines?
Yes. New installations and repairs are hydrostatically tested to the project specification, typically a multiple of the design pressure held for a set period, and the results are recorded for handover.
Which resin do you use for GRP pipe lamination?
It depends on the service. Isophthalic polyester suits general water duty. Vinyl ester is used for aggressive chemicals, higher temperatures or seawater. Potable-water-grade systems are used for drinking water. The resin is matched to the pipe manufacturer's recommendations.
