We install GRP corrugated sheets across the UAE, mainly as translucent rooflights in metal-roofed buildings and as corrosion-resistant roofing and cladding.
In large warehouses, rooflights can reduce the need for artificial lighting during the day. In chemical stores, fertiliser sheds, coastal buildings and livestock farms, metal sheets corrode, while GRP sheets don't. Installation quality decides whether rooflights stay watertight.
What are GRP corrugated sheets?
GRP corrugated sheets are profiled sheets of glass-reinforced polyester resin, made translucent or opaque, that match common metal roofing and cladding profiles. They are used as rooflights to bring daylight into buildings, and as roofing or wall sheets where corrosion resistance is needed. A UV-protective surface layer protects them from sun degradation.
Translucent sheets transmit a significant share of daylight, depending on colour, thickness and surface. Profile matching is essential so the GRP sheet nests exactly with the adjacent metal sheets at side laps. GRP expands more than steel with heat, so fixings use oversized holes and sealing washers.

Survey and profile identification
We identify the existing sheet profile, purlin spacing, roof pitch and rooflight positions and check the roof's condition.
Safety set-up
Work-at-height controls go in place. Fragile rooflights are a serious fall risk, so we use safety netting, walkways or harnesses as required.
Removal of old sheets
Old rooflights or damaged sheets are removed carefully, and purlins and fixings are inspected.
Sheet installation
GRP sheets are laid with the correct side and end laps, aligned with adjacent metal sheets, and sealed with lap tape or sealant where specified.
Fixing
Sheets are fixed through the crowns with self-drilling fasteners, oversized holes and EPDM sealing washers, avoiding over-tightening.
Flashings and sealing
Ridge, eaves and edge details are sealed to stop wind-driven rain and dust.
Inspection
Laps, fixings and seals are checked, and a water test is done where practical.

Do translucent GRP sheets go yellow?
Older or low-quality sheets can yellow under UV. Modern sheets with UV-protective surface layers resist discolouration much better. We supply UV-protected sheets.
Can GRP sheets be walked on?
No. Treat rooflights as fragile. Only walk on designated walkways or with safety measures in place.
Will GRP rooflights make my warehouse hotter?
Rooflights let in some solar heat along with light. Diffusing (opal) sheets and a sensible rooflight percentage balance daylight against heat gain.
Can you match my existing roof profile?
